ABOUT ME
I have been involved in photography since I was a child and first learned about photography in 4-H. In high school I received my first 35mm SLR as a gift when I was a journalism student. I learned more about photography and developed my own photos in the darkroom at my high school. I have owned lots of cameras over the years. I currently shoot completely digital. I enjoy being able to view photos and re-adjust on the fly. One of my favorite photography instructors said, "the difference between a good photographer and a great one is the number of photos that they have in their trash can." Whether it is an actual trash can or a virtual one, I agree.
I believe that photography is 5% the actual photo and 95% the way you go about creating it. My passion is photographing things that we pass by each day and making people take a second look because they are seeing them from a new perspective. My favorite past time is looking for the next great shot.
I am a member of the Fontenelle Nature Association Camera Club and the Henry Doorly Zoo Photo Club.
